245/55R18 Kumho Ecsta PA31 Tires 103 V Set of 4

I bought these as my late spring-to-early winter tires, but living in Montana (where it could snow almost any month of the year), they need to be able to handle a bit of everything. These tires were not pricey, so you always wonder how good they’ll be, but they received good reviews here and on other sites so I decided to give them a try. Although I’ve only had these tires on my car for about a week, Montana spring weather has given me a chance to test them in a wide variety of conditions, including warm (70 F) and cool (low 30’s), and dry, wet, mud, wet snow (about 1-2″), wet snow on top of mud, and slushy streets. I’ve been very pleased with the performance so far. These tires provide good traction, even in the wet, slushy snow (even when stopping, and I did hit the brakes a little hard one time just to test the tires out). In the rain, I noticed very little hydroplaning, even driving through large puddles. These tires are quiet around town, on the interstate (80 mph), and even driving a “country” road at 50 mph with the window open The only test left for these tires to pass is durability –one reason I chose them was the 50,000 mile warranty– and hopefully it will be several years before I can answer that.
